The North West Sydney Football (NWSF) and NWS Spirit FC community is gearing up to celebrate Female Football Week with a series of exciting events aimed at empowering and supporting female players, coaches, and fans from May 2 to May 12.
The celebrations begin on Friday, May 2, with NWSF Academy Trials for female players (U8 to U18) at Christie Park from 4:30pm. The trials provide a unique opportunity for young girls to experience high-quality coaching in a fun, engaging environment that promotes the NWSF DNA.
On Thursday, May 8, Christie Park will host a Special Presentation at 6:30pm, welcoming local, state, and national football experts for an evening of learning, networking, and celebration of the women’s game.
The weekend sees local pride on full display with the NWS Spirit FC Women’s First Grade home match against Western Sydney Wanderers on Sunday, May 11, kicking off at 3:00pm at Christie Park. Fans are encouraged to attend and support the region’s top female talent.
Rounding off the week, a Miniroos Certificate course exclusively for female coaches will be held on Monday, May 12 at Westminster Park from 6:30pm. The course focuses on creating positive, enjoyable environments for U6 to U8 players and is part of NWSF’s commitment to growing female leadership in football.
Female Football Week promises to be a vibrant celebration of women’s contributions to the game, from grassroots to elite levels. We look forward to seeing further events being delivered across our local clubs!
