Coach education kicks into gear for 2023!

NWSF’s coach education is well underway for 2023!

We recently held the NWSF Coaching Expo at Christie Park on Monday March 20. This event brought together participants from over 22 local clubs for a night of learning from experts such as Oscar Gonzalez, Football Australia’s Coach Education Lead, and Warren Grieve, Football NSW Technical Director. Presentations from Spirit FC’s Tiana Gauci (Womens First Grade Head Coach) and Victoria Martin (Womens Youth Head Coach) were also enjoyed by attendees, while club presidents enjoyed time with Football NSW’s Head of Football & Strategy, Ed Ferguson, to learn about how they can enhance their club environments.

On Monday March 27, NWSF also held Coaching Essentials sessions on Zoom to help provide coaches with insight and advice as they prepare for the upcoming local club season. It was great to have over 150, including those at the Minis Forum held concurrently, tune in to develop their coaching skills.

With the season commencing the first weekend of April, we are also excited to begin our courses. The full details of these can be found in the calendar on our website and below.
