On Thursday 19th February, The Men’s Battle of the North took place at Christie Park. This was a thrilling game between North West Sydney Football (NWSF) and North Suburbs Football Association (NSFA).
At the conclusion of the 90minutes the score was 2-2 with the 2 goals for NWSF coming from William Ryan (Pennant Hills FC). Within 43 seconds of extra time golden goal Michael Candy (Putney Rangers FC) scored a half volley from outside the box to finish the game and crown NWSF the champions of the Battle of the North for 2026.
